Alphabet Blocks For Kids

Baby Alphabet Blocks of Tomorrow

The alphabet blocks for kids now selling in many stores for educational baby toys are largely of the wooden types, stocks that may have been manufactured so many years before from the lumber of trees cut for the purpose of furniture making and even toy-making. There are now, however, sets of these children’s alphabet blocks that are of the plastic types, slowly replacing the wooden ones.

These plastic alphabet blocks are lighter in weight than the wooden ones and practically much cheaper as they last longer in use. Sometimes when moms and dads before made the mistake of storing away the wooden alphabet blocks for long periods without regularly conducting inspections on their condition, termites managed to enter the storage boxes and started eating up the wooden alphabet blocks. This is no longer true of the plastic toys for kids . They are safe from the termites.

These educational baby toys are part of the shift in toy manufacture from wood material to the material of recycled plastic coming from the garbage dumps that have since found use in the making of more household items like furniture pieces and toys for the children. The recycling industry is the new source of raw materials for many factories instead of the wood from the forests before, because the furniture coming from the recycled plastics are much stronger and more durable than the wooden ones.

This new industry of recycling was started by the poor people who were lucky to have a talented man from among them who thought up the idea of re-using again garbage items, which were piling up in the dumpsites because these were non-biodegradable in nature and could not rot back into the soil.

Perhaps this new development in the world should be among the things that should be part of a kid's early learning. He tends to learn his early words from playing with the alphabet blocks.

There should be new words popularly now on the lips of everyone because of the new world problems that the kids should learn early in addition to words like “papa”,  “mama”, “dad”, “mom”, “cat”, “dog”, and so forth, which the kid  normally learns early with the alphabet blocks. Words like “water”, “hot”, “cold”, “tree”, “plants”, “rain”, “wind”, “food”, and many others should now be part of his early lessons with the alphabet blocks, to make the kid aware of the developments around him.

A kid is likely to ask what the meaning of a word is that you teach him. This will lead you to teach him little by little about the condition of the world now, even just initially through the simple words with the use of the alphabet blocks.

These will be the alphabet blocks of tomorrow, plastic-made, strong and durable. The kid of tomorrow playing with these new blocks will also be learning new words not given so much emphasis before in earlier generations.

We are embarking on living in a new world that we have to take care of, due to the unusual climate changes.
